How can union members make their workplaces become
greener & lower carbon?
If ever an issue affected everyone, it must
be the environment we live and work in.
Trade Unions play a vital part in Society and have consistently helped to shape
our lives in many areas. Getting more involved in environmental issues is a
natural progression.
Climate change challenge
The union role in tackling climate change will be the subject both of a
one-day conference on 16 June, and a new publication in the influential
Touchstone series.
Environment Secretary Hilary Benn will be among the speakers at the Just
Transition conference, which will be looking at what a 60 per cent cut in
carbon emissions by 2050 will mean for jobs.
